FAQS

Find Your Answers Here

We’ve compiled a list of our visitors most frequently asked questions for your convenience. Find the answers to your queries and learn more about all that we do here at Ruskin Road Repair Cafe. If you still have more questions about our services, please get in touch and one of our volunteers will get back to you.

What do you charge for repairs?

We don't formally charge however we do ask that you leave a donation towards our costs.  We are a not for profit community organisation and although our volunteers offer their services for free we have costs to cover.  As a guide the average donation is £5 for something quite simple.  If the repair takes a while and is more complicated then you might want to donate £10.

Can we leave our repair with you and come back later?

We ask that people remain with their items at all times.  We want to be able to show you what we have done so next time you might be able to do it yourself.

What if my object needs a part?

We aim to have some spare parts on hand however if your items needs a specific part you will be advised to buy the spare part and return the next month.

When is the Repair Cafe open?

We are open 2-4pm on the last Saturday of every month, beginning September 2022

These hours may increase depending on demand.  We will not be open in August but hope to have a table at the Environmental Fair and will not be open in December.
